This luxury sports car automaker was founded by Italian, Enzo Ferrari in 1927. Its present, and very short, lineup starts with the 2007 Ferrari 599 Coupe (MSRP $264,034 - $273,845). The 599 GTB debuted at the Geneva Motor Show on February 28, 2006.1 Evo Magazine named the 599 GTB as the Car of the Year for 2006 despite strong competition from rivals Porsche and Lamborghini and other high-performance cars.2 The 599 GTB manufacturing process and the Maranello plant were featured on National Geographic Channel's series Ultimate Factories in 2006.3 This model is available in GTB Fiorano and GTB Fiorano F1 trim levels and competes with the Bugatti Veyron 16.4, Chevrolet Corvette and Lamborghini Murcielago. The Ferrari 599 Coupe is equipped with a 612-horsepower, 6.0-liter V12 engine, a 6-speed manual transmission (automated on the GTB Fiorano F1 trim level), and a rear-wheel drive (RWD) system. The 599 coupe boasts 19 x 8.0 inch front 20 x 11.0 inch rear alloy wheels, performance tires, sport front seats, leather upholstery, and a Becker premium brand stereo system with eight total speakers.

Up next is the 2007 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti Coupe (MSRP $263,519 - $275,887). This model is available in Base and F1 trim levels and competes with the Bugatti Veyron 16.4, Chevrolet Corvette, Lamborghini Murcielago, and Maserati Quattroporte. The Ferrari 612 Scaglietti (skal-yeti) is a Gran Turismo car produced by Ferrari since 2004.4 It is produced at Ferrari's Carrozzeria Scaglietti plant, the former home of the car's namesake coachbuilder in Modena, Italy.5 This coupe is equipped with a 532-horsepower, 5.7-liter V12 engine, a 6-speed manual transmission (automated on the F1 trim level), and a rear-wheel drive (RWD) system. It features 18-inch front and 20-inch rear alloy wheels, intermittent wipers, performance tires, leather upholstery, a Bose premium brand stereo system, nine total speakers and a built-in hard drive. This model is equipped with pre-wiring for phone, a DVD navigation system with voice activation, and a Bluetooth wireless data link for hands-free phone.

Rounding out the list is the 2007 Ferrari F430, which is available in coupe (MSRP $173,079 - $234,945) and convertible (MSRP $201,213 - $211,525) versions. This model comes in and Base, F1, Challenge, Spider, and F1 Spider trim levels and competes with the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Bugatti Veyron 16.4, Chevrolet Corvette, Lamborghini Murcielago, and Porsche 911. "Car and Driver" magazine found the car's performance worthy of the Ferrari heritage, and recorded a 3.5 sec 0-60 mph acceleration run in the F430.6 It debuted at the 2004 Paris Motor Show.7 The Ferrari F430 is equipped with a 483-horsepower, 4.37-liter V8 engine, a 6-speed automated manual transmission (manual on the Base and Spider trim levels), and a rear-wheel drive (RWD) system.
